So Happy! and sooooo sad…

Yesterday Moo found his forever home!  He was adopted by a wonderful young woman who works for the Texas Park and Wildlife Commission.  She owns her own home, and Moo will be her only pet for a little while, so he’ll have the run of the house.  She wants to get a puppy later on, so Moo will eventually have a great playmate!  I couldn’t have imagined a better home for him.

I missed him right away, though!  The house seemed so quiet while he was gone!  He has such a great personality.

I got home from work this morning about 7:30 and made the sad discovery that little Angel had passed away during the night.  My in-laws are staying with us this weekend, and Troy said they were up ’til midnight and Angel was snuggled and loved on all night.  So she must’ve passed away sometime between 1 and 7.  She had been ill but she’d just been to the vet on Thursday and we were giving her all kinds of meds.  Still, I can’t help but feel like we should’ve done more.  I wish I had realized just how sick she was.  We loved her dearly and had planned to adopt her ourselves.  We’re just heartbroken.  I can’t believe I lost a foster.

So sorry for your loss. I don’t think you should doubt yourself though. You did the best you could do and he was fed, loved, and taken care of.

Oh how bittersweet. Good news followed so closely by sad news. I’m so happy for Moo!! So sorry for the loss of Angel. She sounded like such a sweet little girl. You made her brief time on this earth one surrounded by love when she was fostered by you. You did all you could and I’m sure she appreciated what you did for her.

Poor little Angel. You did the best you could for her – made her feel loved in her last days.

Hope you had a good holiday too! I haven’t been reading many TTC blogs since taking a break but I see you took a break too! If AF comes (was due today) we’ll be going to a fertility specialist for the first time in Jan. Should be interesting. Hope you are well! Love seeing the pics of the kitties! I love kitties!

    Hello!

My name is Elisabeth, and I am an infertility / repeated pregnancy loss “veteran”. You can read a little bit about me and my experiences in my (not very updated) blog: drhousewife.blogspot.com . I am completing a PhD in Counseling Psychology, and my dissertation is focused upon the impact of infertility on marriage. I believe strongly that there is a need for better support services for men and women who are undergoing IF diagnosis and treatment, and my hope is that this study will aid in the development of such services.

I am contacting you after stumbling across your blog. I am recruiting participants for my study, and wanted to invite you and your husband to take part. All that would be involved would be the completion of an online survey, that would take approximately 20 minutes. All couples who complete the surveys will receive a voucher good for a pair of free movie tickets at a Regal Cinemas.

Please let me know if you are interested by emailing me at UTInfertilityResearch@gmail.com . I have included the criteria for participation below.

    Best of luck to you!
    Elisabeth
