Porn Star Hair and Public Sex

Thanks everybody!  I really appreciate the good wishes and “buck-up, little camper”s that everyone sent last Thursday.  That was a rough day!  It turns out the patient has a history of suing medical practices.  She had many issues with our company far beyond the mistake I made.  The situation is being investigated by the higher ups.  I don’t know how it will all turn out.  Could be it’s already over as far as I am concerned – I had already submitted a write-up about the mistake, that may suffice.  Or, it may be that I’ll need to sign a formal write-up or at the worst, have a formal counseling session to mollify the patient.  But firing is not a consideration, which is a relief.  There were so many other issues that it’ll take them a while to talk to all the other people involved in the other issues she has and reach a resolution.

I had an u/s and b/w appt. after work Thrusday, and I found that I had made NO progress!  The lining was actually thinner and my E2 only went up 5 points.  I was really discouraged about that, too.   The doc later said they got scared ’cause I had so many follies that they backed off on the dosage of Gonal F.  So he upped my dosage for two days.

On Friday I spent the day with my mom.  Mom’s best friend Annette’s daughter is graduating from hair school in a week, and Annette convinced us to come in a get our hair colored.  I told her daughter I wanted to go a shade or so lighter blonde to help hide the grey I’ve got sneaking in.  Well, I have to hand it to her – you cannot see one strand of grey on my head.  Because it’s WHITE!  My hair is white-blonde, and for some reason there are streaks of lavender in it!  I walked into the house and Troy went, “Whoa!  I get to make it with a porn star!”  Ha ha haaaaaaaaaaaaa.  So funny.

On the other hand, my mom’s hair didn’t take the color at all!  She wanted to get the darker color of her hair applied to the roots to cover the grey, but her hair is exactly the same as before the appointment.  I think maybe I’ll fit in a trip to the salon on my day off this Friday.  Can they even do anything with bleached hair?  Maybe they can at least get the lavender out.  This hair would be cool if I was 11 … or a porn star … maybe I shouldn’t have gotten that breast reduction last year, then I could totally work this look… 🙂

Saturday morning I had another u/s and bloodwork, and the E2 had finally jumped up to 106, and my lining was back up to 6.5.  I now have a folly front-runner, at 13Dr. Vaughn (it was his weekend again) said that was what they wanted, that as a few follicles take the lead the smaller ones start to shrink away.  So he upped my dosage of Gonal-F to 150 for three days, and I go back tomorrow (Tuesday) afternoon for the next u/s & b/w appointment.

Right after my appointment Saturday Troy and I met up with our friends Melissa and Aaron for a camping/tubing trip.  At first it was a bit miserable.  M & A were fighting, so it was tense; Troy was having stomach trouble; our campsite had no shade and it was over 100;  it took us a long time to finally get in the water.  When we did, we only floated a little ways and – *bump* – hit the bottom!  The river was so shallow, we actually had to pick up the cooler and our tubes and walk the majority of it!  I think the campgrounds aren’t telling people they actually have to walk the river rather than tube it ’cause they’d go out of business if everyone knew.

But by the end of the trip, as we were approaching the campgrounds where we would get out, the river deepened enough to float again and we all started to relax and enjoy ourselves.  The current was super slow so we just drifted along.  We start getting into a shallower area, and we notice a red-haired couple fiercely making out in the shallow water.  (I only mention the red hair ’cause they were both bright red-headed and they looked alike – it was kind of creepy like watching a brother and sister make out).  As we slowly drifted closer, we realized the river was packed with people who had gotten stuck or were going as slowly as we were that were also mezmerized by the couple.  While we watched, the dude actually MOUNTED her!  They weren’t making out, they were HAVING SEX – right smack dab in the middle of the river!  We saw positions only the young and very skinny can attempt.  He was THRUSTING!  In RHYTHM!!!  She was on top, then on the bottom, then there was some kama-sutra move where all we could see of her was one of her legs in the air!  Don’t know where the rest of her went!  People were yelling at them and blowing air horns, but they never lost the beat.  And the current was so slow, we were just past them when he … um … ‘hit goal’ … and started jumping up and down and whooping!  Gaaaa!  I was down-stream!!  And I’m on fertility meds!  Well, if the baby comes out red-headed we’ll know what happened …

We discovered after we got out that our campsite actually looked down over the spot in the river where Red got lucky.  When we left to get dinner an hour later he was still standing in the stream yelling at everyone that went by that he couldn’t find the girl he’d just been f’in for the past hour.  He was soooooo drunk.  A sherriff showed up later … dunno what happened after that.

Oh!  The Bob Schneider concert on the river was AMAZING!  Of course, Bob is always amazing!  Loved it!  We had such a blast there!   Back to the camp site around 1am and we crashed.  Our tent is mesh and I LOVE sleeping under the stars!  The rest of the trip was really fun.

Sunday we got home and unloaded.  Mom had stayed at our place all weekend to take care of our zoo.  Dobby (one of the Frenchies) and Annie (our rescue kitty) are both on antihistamines and antibiotics right now.  I really appreciate Mom taking care of them!  Dobby is easy – just hide it in a bit of cheese – but Annie is hard, the poor baby.   She just hates taking medicine, whether it’s a pill or dropper.

My brother, his wife JoAnn and his two boys spent the afternoon with us.  We swam and sunned and Mom made amazing pulled pork sandwiches.  They helped us unpack and get all the stuff put away.  JoAnn and I actually got to talking while the two of us were floating in the pool.  She’s pretty reserved, so I absolutely LOVED it that she wanted to talk!  Love getting to know her better!  I was really happy about that!

It’s good to be back!  I’ll be catching up on everyone’s blogs tonight, and I’ll post tomorrow’s appointment results.    Thanks again, everyone, for your sweet support!  Fortunately I don’t have bad days too often. 🙂

Still plenty of time for those follies to get fat, yes? At 2mm a day, they can sky rocket to the right size in a matter of days!

Sounds like your camping trip was…interesting 🙂 We had a “no shade” campsite our last trip, too though it wasn’t nearly that hot (it is down here though!). Now that we’ve been there, we’ll know better next time. Glad you made the best of everything and that at least the concert was rockin’!

Ok, I was laughing before I even read this entry. I just love reading your blog-it is a bright spot in my day!!! And, sometimes unfortunately, you write as such that I can visualize what you’re describing. In this case, GROSS!
